Desheeya Sevabharathi in association with Chinmaya Viswa Vidyapeedam and Seva International launched a project in 2019 march, where 14 new counselling centres were opened in 10 districts across Kerala. These counselling centres, aptly named "PUNARJANI" focus on rehabilitating and facilitating the proper mental wellbeing of society. The locations of these centres were decided based on areas of necessity with the main focus being on Balika sadanams, Balasadanam, Geriatric home for women and other such NGOs.
Punarjani counselling centre also offers its services to various schools in Palakkad as well as the victims of a massive flood that took place in 2018 in Kerala. Services include adolescent issues, learning disabilities, pre & post-marital counselling, interpersonal issues etc. Centres also remain open to everyone who requires basic mental health care and is supported by experienced psychologists.
